Omni Motorsport

Buckner, Kentucky  Client: Omni Motorsport, Louisville, KY

The client was operating their specialty japanese import car service and performance shop out of several make shift structures and wanted to replace the buildings with one efficient building. The program called for service bays, stock storage, service counter and showroom on the first floor and offices on the partial second floor. The building had to be very economical to build and highly visible due to the site being below the grade of a busy county highway.

The design solution was to create a pole barn structure sheathed in corrugated siding on a masonry plinth. Building massing is expressed as simple shapes; the trinagle, square and circle. The shapes are defined with painted primary colors. The strong triangular facade and painted super graphic reinforce the projects visual idea of "place".
